Laura Kirchgässner

Soprano Laura Kirchgässner performed at the Latvian National Opera, the State Opera Darmstadt, the Théâtre de la Rotonde à Thaon les Vosges (France), the Mecklenburg State Theatre Neustrelitz, the Wilhelma Theatre Stuttgart, the Castle-Theatre Schwetzingen. She has sung several times with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, including her debut in Orff’s Carmina Burana.

In 2023 she gave a song recital at the historic Schumann House in Leipzig and performed with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg at the Elbland Festival in Wittenberge, which was broadcast on RBB television and the ARD streaming platform. 

Laura Kirchgässner began her vocal training at the age of 11 and completed her Master’s degree with top honors at the University of Music Karlsruhe. She has since gained valuable musical inspiration through selected masterclasses with KS Prof. Regina Werner, Margreet Honig, KS Dorothea Röschmann, and Prof. Edda Moser. 

In 2020 Kirchgässner received the music prize of the Kulturfonds Baden. In 2018 she was awarded the Bayreuth Scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association and won a prize at the international competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. She was also a scholarship recipient of the International Lotte-Lehmann-Academy for Opera and Art Song.
